Sheepskin Coat
One of my first customizing project using a sewing machine!!! After influencing by the great customizer Francis Tavares from Battlefields. I finally took a shot on doing some big scale customizing. I have been doing some Sunday work here and there but never too much of a big scale. One day I finally bought a cheap sewing machine (around $25!!) and decide to give it a try. It just happen my wife decides to throw away a sheep skin fur and I decide to make use of it. I pull all the fur out (with my bare hand, how exhausting!!) and it look like a good leather I can use. There are a lot of custom tailor made sheepskin jacket during WWII for the Germans, after some research I started to design one. This is a 3 button jacket. I use toothpick for the buttons and leather string I used for winter vest project. I used the sewing machine for the jacket but ended up did A LOT of hand sewing....Pls. note the pockets, I took some time to do them. After all is done, I think it is a good start. Just to mention, the head is by Francis and the cap is by a Hong Kong customizer Mr. Law. The smoking pipe is from Yellow Submarine. Pants and boots are from Dragon.
